Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before they buy: what IPTV is, which channels come with it, what it costs, which devices it runs on, and what to do when the picture misbehaves.

Getting started

What exactly is IPTV?

Television delivered over your internet connection instead of a dish or a cable. You install a small app on a device you already own, sign in with the login we send, and the channels and TV guide appear — the picture comes down the same line as everything else in the house.

Do I need a dish, a box or an engineer?

None of the three. If you have broadband and a Firestick, smart TV, Android box, phone or laptop, you have everything you need. Setting it up takes about five minutes.

How do I get started?

Ask for the free 24-hour trial on WhatsApp, test it on your own telly, and order a plan if you are happy. Login details come back by WhatsApp or e-mail within minutes of payment.

Is there a contract?

No. You pay once for the length you chose and it ends on its own. Nothing renews automatically and nothing is taken from your account later.

Channels and sport

Which Irish channels are included?

RTÉ One, RTÉ2, RTÉ News, RTÉjr, Virgin Media One, Two and Three, TG4 and Oireachtas TV, in HD, plus the UK channels beside them.

Can I watch GAA and the Premier League?

Yes. The GAA games shown on RTÉ and TG4 come through on those channels, and Premier League matches come through the Sky Sports and TNT Sports channels.

What is 7-day catch-up?

Most channels keep their recent programmes for a week. Open the TV guide, scroll back to Sunday, and press play — no recording to set up beforehand.

How many films and series are there?

Over 80,000 titles on demand, from new releases to complete box sets, sorted by genre with a search.

Plans, payment and refunds

How much does it cost?

Plans start at €13.99 for one month on one device, and a 12-month plan works out at €5.33 a month. Two and three-device plans cost more because more people can watch at once — all the prices are on the plans page.

What payment methods do you accept?

Revolut and IBAN bank transfer, with PayPal and card where available. We send the payment details on WhatsApp once you pick a plan.

Do you have a refund policy?

Yes — a 7-day money-back guarantee for new customers. If the service is not working as described and our support team cannot fix it with you, ask within 7 days of purchase and we refund you. It does not cover problems with your own internet line, an internet provider blocking streaming traffic, or installing the app on your device once we have sent the instructions. Free trials are not refundable because nothing is paid.

Can I upgrade to more devices later?

Yes. Message us and we will work out the difference for the time left on your plan.

Devices and setup

Which devices work?

Amazon Firestick, Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android TV boxes and the Nvidia Shield, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, Windows and Mac, and MAG set-top boxes.

Which app should I use?

TiviMate for the best TV guide, IPTV Smarters Pro for the simplest setup, IBO Player on smart TVs and older sticks. Tell us the device and we will say which we would use.

Can two people watch different channels?

Only on a 2 or 3-device plan. One login streams on one device at a time — a second stream will stop the first.

Can I use it away from home?

Yes. The login works anywhere with broadband, so a holiday home or a relative's house is fine.

Speed, buffering and support

What internet speed do I need?

About 15 Mbps for HD and roughly 25 Mbps for 4K. Fibre from Eir, Vodafone or Virgin Media is comfortable; older copper lines may need the app set to a lower stream.

Why does the picture break up at peak time?

Evening congestion on your line is the usual cause. Plugging the device into the router with an Ethernet adapter fixes it for most people, and we can point the app at a lower stream.

Do I need a VPN?

No. The service runs over ordinary Irish home broadband with nothing extra installed.

How do I get help?

WhatsApp, at any hour including match days. Send a photo of the screen — nine times out of ten it is one setting and we will tell you which.

Still stuck?
